GROEN, Herman W.

GROEN, Herman W. - Born in St. Pancras, Holland on April 6, 1949, passed away in Kelowna on April 3, 2012 with his loving wife, Brenda, at his side.

Predeceased by his parents, John in 2007 and Janet in 2011, and his eldest brother, John in 2008. Survived by his daughter, Corie (Laird) Chambers, granddaughter, Alexis Lily, son, Matthew, and step-daughter, Heather Lynn Clark (Kerry), siblings, Andrea (Henry) Harley, Gus (Pearl), Cathy (Gord) Deacon, Wes, sisters-in-law, Delayne Ann, Lynne (Roger) Peterson, and mother of his children, Gerrie-Anne Corry (Doug), Tante Marty Slyker, many friends, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Michaelbrook Ranch Golf Club with a luncheon for friends and family.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Central Okanagan Hospice House for their care and compassion, and would appreciate donations to the Hospice in lieu of flowers.
