GOERTZEN, Frank Alfred

GOERTZEN, Frank Alfred of Kelowna, passed away at Sutherland Hills Rest Home on July 18th, 2011 at the age of 96 years.

Frank was born in Waldheim, Sask on May 14th, 1915. He is survived by his daughters :Dianne (Gordie) Jacobsen of Winfield; Brenda (Al) Hardy of Logan Lake, five stepchildren: David (Yvonne) Crook of Tantallon NS, Eileen (Dennis) Carlson of Theodore, Sask, Doreen (Gordon) Gillespie of Vernon, Don Crook of Whistler, Tom (Linda) Crook of Aldergrove; one grandson Neil(Michelle) Gruending of West Kelowna, two great grandchildren Allison and Dylan Gruending. Seven step-grandchildren, eleven step-great grandchildren and one brother Clarence Goertzen of Abbotsford.

Lover of God, people and nature. Music and poetry was his specialty. He was a faithful member and worker of the Seventh-day Adventist Church all his life.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1802-45th Ave, Vernon on Thursday, July 21st, 2011 at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will take place at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Vernon on Friday, July 22nd, 2011 at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in memory of Frank.
