GNEIST, Josef - We are very sad to announce that Joseph Gneist passed away quietly on June 3rd, 2011 at Kelowna General Hospital.

Joseph had a full and interesting life. He was born in Austria on February 8th, 1923 and immigrated to Canada with his wife and daughter in 1955. He worked in Montreal as a commercial artist for Air Canada for 21 years. After his retirement he and his wife moved to the Okanagan Valley. He enjoyed travelling, gardening, painting and having a glass of wine with good friends.

He will be remembered by many and deeply missed by his wife Anita, sister Julie, daughter Liane (Glen); grandchildren Tanya (Jim), Danae, Lisa (Ben) and their father Peter. At the request of Joseph, no service will be held. Cremation.
