GESSELL, Aldon - It is with great sadness that the family of Aldon (Al) Gessell announces his passing on October 24, 2011 from brain cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife Esther and son Michael, daughter-in-law Deborah and grandson Alexander of Houston, Texas, brothers Gordon (Edna) of Devon, AB, Barry (Mary-Lee) of Wapella, Sask, and Brian (Carol) of Devon, AB. He was predeceased by his parents Frieda and William Gessell, brother Melvin and sister Violet.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dean Griswold, the caring and compassionate Homecare & Palliative Staff, the staff and volunteers at Hospice House for the wonderful care he received and all our special friends and neighbours that helped us through this difficult time.

A family memorial will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Aldon may be made to Hospice House or the Brain Tumour Research Foundation.
