Heaven has called back our angel...

October 6, 1961 - December 29, 2018

Kim Garbers (née Adams) passed away peacefully on December 29 after a short battle to cancer at the age of 57. Predeceased by her Father: George Adams (2014) & Sister: Gwendolyn Petsul (Doug) Dec 8, 2018. Kim is survived by her loving husband Ralph Garbers, Son: Chad Francoeur, Daughter: Dezarae Dybdal (Dayton), Mother: Vera Adams (Paul Gaudet), Sister: Jacquelyne Dornian (Ken) and numerous loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kim was born on October 6, 1961 in Port Alberni to George and Vera Adams. After moving to Kelowna in 1988, Kim began working in the healthcare industry as a Care Aid and was loved by all that knew her. Kim led a full life with her family and many friends; she was always up for an adventure. She enjoyed walking, running, hiking, snowshoeing, boating and truckin with her loving husband Ralph. She was hardworking, fun loving and always positive and happy. She was and forever will be an inspiration to many.

A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Westbank, BC. In lieu of flowers or gifts please donate to her Go Fund Me Page. Her legacy will live on with her family and friends who loved her most.

    My deepest condolences to Kim's loved ones. Her smile and zest for life will truly be missed. I was lucky enough to have worked with Kim at Brookhaven when it first opened and treasured the friendship we made. She will be missed but never forgotten. R.I.P. Kim.     Kim has touched so many people with her smile and gentle spirit. The last time I saw Kim was at paint nite and we had many laughs. The owl we painted will always be special to me, it's a beautiful reminder of Kim.

    I am so saddened to hear of Kim's passing. To her family I offer you my sincerest condolences. Kim and I worked together at Brookhaven. You could not find a nicer, sweeter, or beautiful human being than Kimmy. Kim, I will forever remember your kindness to all who crossed your path, including myself. I loved your going away gift you gave me when I moved and I shall now treasure it even more. You were always so thoughtful. Be at peace my friend. You will forever be missed by many and that speaks volumes as to the woman you were. You were truly a beautiful person both inside and out.     Kim was a shining light in my otherwise dreary workday. She was always cheerful and comforting and she put everyone at ease. I especially remember her sense of humour and genuine smile. She was accepting and loving and I will always be grateful for having her in my life. Thank you Kim!

    To Ralph and Family,
    Our condolences to you. Never got to meet Kim face to face but talked to on the phone many occasions, I enjoyed talking with her on the phone. Herb met her many times when delivering firewood and often mentioned what a nice lady to talk too. Gone way to soon and way too quickly. Blake and Jenn did vacations with you both and totally enjoyed the good times with both of you, we had the opportunity to listen to good times. Hugs to you all.
