GABELHEI, Sophie (1922 - 2011)

Sophie passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011 at the age of 88 in Kelowna Hospice.

Sophie is predeceased by her husband Russell David in January 2008. She is survived by her loving children, sons Ron (Jen) of Penticton BC, Dave (Kathy) of West Kelowna BC and daughter Louise Pelletier (Ted) of Kelowna BC, 7 grandchildren, David, Taunya, Matthew, Sara, Kyle, Derrick and Nicole, 3 great grandchildren Ethan, Brenden, Jase and extended family.

Sophie was born August 15, 1922 in Plain Lake, Alberta. She met Russell in Vernon BC and they were married in 1951. They relocated to Penticton and spent 57 years together.

Mom, Gramma, you will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed, we are happy you have been reunited again with Dad. Love you forever.

Our family thanks the staff at Kelowna Hospice for their compassion and understanding during Sophie's stay.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to Kelowna Hospice or the Cancer Foundation.

Graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Penticton BC, Thursday June 30th, at 3:00 pm with a celebration of life to follow at Ron's.
