FRASER, John Girvan (John Sr)

FRASER, John Girvan (John Sr)

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather. John was born in Chipman, NB, September 25, 1951 and left this earth far too early on November 29, 2017 at home in Kelowna.
Memories of his incredible life will be forever cherished by Gloria, his best friend and beloved wife of 47 years. His strength will live on through his sons John Edward (Lisa) and Jeff Girvan, and his grandchildren, Madeline Elise and Liam Girvan.
He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Diane (Keith), Ross (Doreen) and Ricki (Laurianne), his sister-in-law Elise, brother-in-law Ray, his Uncle Huey, and his best friend Ron (Elaine).
John was a fiercely devoted family man and many hours were spent sitting around the kitchen table with those he held dear talking and playing cards. He was most at peace on a small lake with a fishing rod in his hand and his wife and dog at his side.
John and Gloria, along with their youngest son Jeff, operate a successful local business, Fraser Urethanes. John took immense pride in his quality work and often spoke fondly of his many clients and colleagues whom he considered friends.
Although he is gone he will never be forgotten.
Services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kelowna Food Bank or the Salvation Army.
Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com.

Sending our most sincere condolences to Auntie Gloria, and cousins John and Jeff along with their families. I was taken back to hear about the sudden loss of Uncle John, so many memories growing up of the families sharing good times together.

    Remember Me: by Margaret Mead

To the living, I am gone.

To the sorrowful, I will never return.

To the angry, I was cheated,

But to the happy, I am at peace,

And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.

Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed.

For if you always think of me, I will never be gone.

Love Richard, Rizza, Shaira, Nicole and Ricky

We would like to send our deepest condolences to Gloria, John, Jeff and the whole family. We are very saddened to hear of John's sudden passing. We live across the street and we couldn't ask for nicer neighbours, John always had a friendly smile and we loved his laugh. We will miss seeing John in our neighbourhood.

Love from your neighbours, Karin and Lisa
