Vera Forbes, RN - Vera Forbes peacefully passed away surrounded by family
in David Lloyd-Jones Home (Kelowna, BC) on February 9th, 2012.
She will be sadly missed by friends, daughters Laurie and Gail,
son Craig and his wife Margaret, grandchildren
Jennifer and Shannon, and nieces Jan and Judy.
Vera was born in 1920 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
In 1949, Vera graduated as a Registered Nurse from Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Vera married Cliff in 1955 and raised their three children.
At 65, she retired from her nursing career, and moved
from Victoria (where she had lived for 27 years) to Kelowna.
Vera will be remembered for her compassion and empathy as a nurse.
She will also be remembered for her passion for animals.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local SPCA shelter.
