FLOCK, Murray Alexander MD - It is with regret that we announce the death of Murray Alexander Flock, MD in Kelowna, B.C. March 8, 2011 at the age of 88.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne (nee, Fraser) of 60 years, son Murray (Lois), and grandsons Alexander, Tristan and Ian – all of whom he loved dearly.

Early years spent in Guelph, Ontario, Murray graduated in medicine from the University of Toronto in 1945. Following army postings in northern and eastern Canada, he began a long career as a family physician serving the people of Southampton, Ontario and surrounding area until his full retirement in 2000. Yvonne and Murray then moved to the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia where he experienced the joy of watching his grandchildren grow from boys to young men. He was quiet, kind, humble and exceptionally quick witted with a gifted musical ability, which he generously shared on the piano and organ.

By request there will be no public service.

Murray can best be honoured and remembered through a donation to the charity of your choice. He will be sorely missed.
