FLEISCHMANN, Margit
November 8th, 1912 – May 28th, 2011.

The family of Margit (Manci) Fleischmann is saddened by her passing at Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 98.

She emigrated from Hungary in 1957 and lived in Saskatoon until 1983 before moving to Kelowna to be with her surviving sister Irene, her niece Julie (Nick) Lazarowich and their daughter Kathryn. She will also be missed by her nephew Leslie (Kathy) Sicherman, his son Stephen Sicherman (Lynn Barlage), his daughter Tara (Jason) Mewis and their children Max and Brie of Saskatoon.

Margit had lived at Chatsworth Retirement Suites and Bungalows and had express great affection and appreciation for the assistance the staff had provided. She also made mention on many occasions of the friendship, kindness and help offered by volunteer Jo-anne Ogilvy for almost a decade. Margit was a very private person but kept in constant contact with her sister, nieces and nephew.

A Service will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Okanagan Jewish Community Centre Association, 102 Snowsell Street, Kelowna.
