FARLEY, Ernest (Ernie) (1923-2011)

It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Ernest, on Saturday, October 1, 2011. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife, Florence; his children, Leo (Gerry); Harvey (Melogen); Claudette; Rita (Terry) and Sherry (Craig). Ernest also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who will always remember their grandpa. He is also survived by his brothers Paul and George and his sister, Ida. Ernest was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Leo and Maurice.

A Naval veteran of WW11 and an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Ernest will be remembered for his sense of humour, his creativity and his teasing ways.

A Prayer Service was held on Thursday October 6, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2547 Hebert Road, Westbank, B.C. at 7:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service being held on Friday October 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. also at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. A reception tea will follow in the Church Hall. Interment will follow at the Canyon View Cemetery, 10316 Canyon View Road, Summerland, B.C. at 2:00 p.m.
