FAHLGREN (NEE ANDERSON) , Elsie Margaret

FAHLGREN (NEE ANDERSON) , Elsie Margaret

When Elsie met you for the first time, within a couple of minutes she could find a connection. You may have had a second cousin in common. It may have been through one of the many students she taught, or the teachers she worked with. She may have played bridge with your neighbor, or sang with them in choir. She may have curled with you or coached your son or daughter. Grandma loved people and kept the interest in their lives close to her heart.

Grandma was born in 1933, at home in Winnipeg to Swedish immigrants Magnus and Annie Anderson. As a youngster during the depression and then the war she gained a deep appreciation for the well being of her family and friends. She cherished them all.

Elsie attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, then the University of Manitoba, where she obtained her Home Economics degree in 1953 and then her Education degree in 1954. Elsie was able to attend the 60th year reunion of her Home Economics graduating class last year. She will be so sad to miss this year
