It's been a long road since Vic and I first met in grade 4, but somehow time really does fly. Thank you for being you. I try to remind myself to be grateful every day and think of each day as a blessing, a gift to be cherished, and to always play "the glad game".

Vic, you will be sorely missed by my whole family but you have gone to a much better place now. I can just see you and Duff having a Scotch and sitting back in your chairs seeing who can tell the best joke. Although Vic was my husband's best friend I also considered him my friend as well. Many, many loving memories.

Condolences to all of Vic's family,

    Jacci Shelley

Enjoyed knowing Vic in grade 12. Then seeing him at the reunions. In my last few years working in finance Vic called a number of times and stopped by my office in Seattle once, always starting with a bit of his humor, then discussing potential real estate deals he was aware of. It was always great to renew old contacts as he brought me news of others in our class I would not have had otherwise. But fresh memories are the best and his comments at our 60th brought down the house. A great way to go out. Vic thanks for the laughs and thanks for just being you! Jack Blondin

My one regret is we never kept in touch over the years until our high school reunions came along. From being neighbours in the fifties and meeting up again in Kelowna and Victoria we had happy times. I know old and new friends will greatly miss you.

My condolences goes out to the whole family, I had the pleasure of getting to have brunch with his brother, sister and a good friend Irv the Sunday before passing. It was a wonderful get together and I cherish meeting him for the first time. Am just sorry I did not get to know more about him. He sounds like he would have been an interesting person to talk to. RIP Vic.

My sincere condolences to Vic's family. What a character he was! He will be missed by all of us - his many friends at Ambrosia Towers. I hope there's a spot at a bridge table for him when he gets to where he's going. Vic, so long, it's been so good to know you. Until we meet again.

    Your friend, Lynne

Uncle Vic and my father, Duff Shelley, were best friends from grade 3 onward. They had many "amusing" stories of the many things they shared together as life long pals (even matching homemade arm tattoos). Although we were not related by blood, Uncle Vic was a most significant part of not only my dad's life, buy me, my sister's, and my mom's life. There is so much I could say about the man. We loved him very much and will forever miss him and his corny jokes and laughter. Luv you Uncle Vic!! Janneane W.
