ENGEL, Glen Earl

Engel, Glen Earl
1937 – 2019

Glen Earl Engel received his wish on August 21, 2019 when he saw Jesus and passed into his eternal home. Glen passed away with his wife and family present at the age of 81. He was born to Alice and Earl Engel in the Gravelbourg, Sask. area.

He is survived by his wife Anne, 3 daughters: Candice (Don) Peltier, Tamara (Jeff) Good, and Priscilla (Jude) Pierre, as well as stepchildren: Madeleine and Michelle Wise, Daniel (Veronica) Wise and his brother Lloyd (Doris) Engel. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brent (Elise Koski) Peltier, Karlynn Peltier, Adrianna Good, William (Maria) Gardner, Phil (Jacquelyn Spackman) Gardner as well as great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Doris, his parents and infant brother Wilmer.

Glen was an architect at heart, renovating and building a number of homes over the years in Regina, Calgary and most recently in West Kelowna. After school, he and his brother, Lloyd, started a grid road construction company in rural Sask. – L & G Construction later Double E Construction. After 20 years, he moved his family to Calgary and continued his work with dirt by starting Final Touch Landscaping and Final Touch Landscape Gardens. Glen was a boat enthusiast and enjoyed getting away, whenever he didn’t have projects on the go, for some fishing. There were many uncompleted projects still on paper when he lost his battle with cancer.

Glen was loved by many and will be missed so much!!

A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Alliance Church (South Entrance) 12345 40 St. SW, Calgary, AB on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 am.

Sincere condolences Anne, children, and the Engel family. Glen was a wonderful, talented, and decent man. His pain and suffering is over and now he is with his Saviour and reunited with those whom he loved and have gone before him. Rest in peace Glen. You were loved by us all.
