EIDE, Ralph Ivar

With deep regret the Eide Family now announces the passing of our beloved Ralph Ivar Eide, on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 in the early hours, two days before his 60th birthday.

Ralph is survived by Geraldine (Geri), his wife of 28 years, and their sons Thor, 24, and Daniel 23. Survived also by his mother Dolores Eide, brothers Gunnar (Shanon) and Karl (Tina) of Terrace and Kitimat. Ralph was also loved greatly by his in-laws; the Passek and McConnell families. Too, the numerable nieces and nephews for two generations who loved and admired their Uncle Ralph; Caitlyn, Eric, Savannah, Trista, Karli, Sean, Travis, Jenna, Liam, Sarah, Shevlin, Christine, Seaneen, Aaron, Jennessa, Brennen, and Elizabeth. And their children too! Predeceased by his brother Eric (Lars) Eide, 1978, and his father Ole Eide 2013.

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Ralph at Snap Lake. I still remember our boss Dave coming up to him and asking him, "are you done yet, this is taking too long." Ralphy looked at him and calmy said, "If you don't like this speed, you sure ain't gonna like the next speed I got for you." I laughed so hard as Dave our boss got all red faced and 180ed it out of there. Rest in peace Ralphy boy and hope the archery is stellar up there in heaven. - Jonothon Hill

Daniel and Thor, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. He adored you two and I was always amazed at what a supportive father he was. Geri, I can't imagine your heartbreak and I wish you all peace and comfort at this difficult time. Watching your family together was an inspiration to all. My sincerest condolences.

There are no words to express my overwhelming sadness for Ralph's family! Geri, you and the boys were his world. I remember the first time I met Ralph, we ended up talking about how much he loved you, how amazing you and his boys were. You have a love that will never leave you! Geri, Thor and Daniel hold tight to each other, Ralph/Dad is gone but he was such a strong wonderful personality. He leaves you with his strength and love for each other. Gone in body but never in spirit. I am here for you!
