EDSTROM, Milton (Milt)
November 26, 1925 - March 26, 2011

It is with heavy hearts that our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Saturday March 26, 2011 after a courageous fight with cancer.

Predeceased by his parents Emil and Necolyne, sister Emily, brothers Ed, Earl, Jim and Oroville. Dad is survived by his loving wife Ella of 61 years and his brother Lloyd. He was an amazing father to Daryle (Linda), Grant (Coralee), Christine (Dana) Stregger and (Angie). Dad was a wonderful and loving grandfather to Derek (Kristin), Jennifer, Colin (Melissa), Kristen, Bryan, Alex, Kyran and Rylin. He was a recent proud and adoring great-grandfather to his first great-granddaughter Lily.

Dad loved his family with all of his heart and loved nothing more than being surrounded by his friends and family. After moving to Kelowna in 1935 he was proud and felt blessed to have served the Kelowna building community for over 30 years which included managing Kelowna Builders Supply. There was always a line-up of people waiting specifically to see Milt because of his expertise and sense of humour.

Our family wishes to thank Dr. Erasmus, Susan & Kathy, the Hospice House staff, Dr. Ellard, Debbie & Laurie Ann at the Kelowna Cancer Centre and the many other caring individuals for the tremendous care Dad received.

We will miss you Dad and love you forever, thank-you for being such a huge part of our lives.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Milt may be given to the S.P.C.A. or the Children's Ward of K.G.H.

As the on staff finishing Carpenter/Joiner at Capri Hotel since the 80s I would often deal with Milt ...I found him to be kind and very knowledgeable, indeed a gentleman and a man of his word. I was saddened to read of his passing.

So sorry to here Milt has passed on. I worked with Milt at Kelowna Builders,and he taught me a lot when I worked under his guidance. I am sure he will be missed by his family and friends.

Milt was a great guy over the counter at Kelowna Builders...."the best"

He will be surely missed. I remember him well for his glowing smile and pleasant personality.

So sorry for your loss. As you know Daryle and Grant, I had the pleasure of working for your Dad at Kelowna Builders Supply and also with the two of you. He was a great man and will be missed.

To the Edstrom Family,

My sincere condolences on your loss. My thoughts are with you. I had tremendous respect for Milt and will always remember standing in line at Kelowna Builders and Revelstoke Builders to have him look after me. He had a way of making everyone feel important.

Dear Mrs.Edstrom and family,

I only met you and your husband on two occasions once when I operated a lottery booth at Dilworth Safeway and coming into Wendy's. You both are such a delightful couple and I will really miss serving you. I hope you will still come in, though it won't be quite the same. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family and I hope the many treasured moments throughout your lives as a couple, family, and grandchildren and great grandchildren, will help you through your grief. I will miss you Milt and can't wait to see what you have in store for us down below from Heaven. May you watch over all whom you love and care about, your the bright angel and star in the sky looking over your loved ones.

Dear Chris and family,

I am very sorry to hear of your Dad passing away.
I never had the chance to meet him, but by the number of condolences you have received here on Castanet, he must have been a great man who touched a great many people.
