EDE, Earl Canfield

EDE, Earl Canfield

Earl Canfield Ede
Born May 29, 1926 Melfort, SK Died Feb 12/2020, Kelowna, BC

Earl is Survived by wife, Marjorie Evangeline Ede (MacIntosh), son Lyle and Grandson Creig Ede, Sisters, Sherry(Clarke) and Yvonne(Muzyka) and many adoring Nieces, nephews and Grands.
A fixture at Kelowna Redi Mix and Safeway for many years, Earl cultivated strong relationships in the community, on his motorcycle, at the pub and on the Golf course.
Earl and Marj paved the way for many extended family members moving to Kelowna, always with welcome arms and generous hospitality.
The Lake was a constant playground with pontoon boat and fishing boats as he shared his angling expertise with many of us – complete with those mysterious tugs on the line.
You always knew you would find a beer on the patio and fresh tomatoes in the garden at Uncle Earls. A trip to his garage was an education for anyone who ventured into the `club house`.
A loving husband, sturdy father, reliable brother, coolest uncle and loyal friend...
And BINGO was his name!|

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be: So he put his arms around you and whispered, `Come to Me`.
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us – HE only takes the Best!

Cheers and hugs on his patio to be shared in the spring. Date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, Earl and family would welcome donations to www.CanadaHelps.org Donate to Veterans Charities

Marjie we are crying with you ; That husband of yours; Brother of mine ; was a sweet loving special person. Remember when we didn't like what he did; You would always say "He's your brother" and I would reply "No he is your Husband. Anyway I miss him so much and he will always be in my heart. The main reason your sweet Sisters moved to Kelowna was all because of you and Marj. You were so welcoming to us that my Daughter Susan soon followed. There maybe more out there; but we won't tell you so don't get your hackles up. Love you Yvonne and Ted.

Dearest Auntie Marj , we are so sorry that you have lost your life-long partner, Uncle Earl. It was delightful to be in his company. We loved his sense of humor and his quick-wit personality. We also shared a beer or two out on the patio and fresh snacks from his garden. Rest in Peace Earl, you are pain free now and dancing with the angels. Much love to Marj and Lyle and Earl's sisters...Love from Bill & Donna and family

Wow Aunt Marg, hard to believe that rascal has gone to rest in peace. We are thinking of you. It was always so nice to visit you and uncle Earl, the boat rides , fishing, motorcycle rides, all so much fun. We still haven't been able to grow tomatoes like Earl cultivated every year. Such great times and good memories... Love Torri and Wayne

Uncle Earl was the best. He took me flying, motorbike riding, house boating, golfing and fishing. Uncle Earl also taught me how to play Crib and Chinese checkers, and for being legally blind he always knew if you moved your peg or marble one to many. I will miss his quick wit and antics. Love you forever, Iona.
