DYCK, Margaret Florence

Margaret (Marge) Dyck (nee Harris)
Feb.10,1927-Feb.23,2018
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mom, grandma, and great grandma. Marge is predeceased by her husband, Peter. Her memory lives on in her 5 children & spouses, 8 grandchildren & spouses, and 10 great grandchildren. She was born in Nelson, moved to Vancouver in the 40’s, where she met her husband, Peter. They moved to Hope and began a family before making their way to the farm in Armstrong. There, she raised her children and welcomed grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for her skilled craftsmanship of teddy bears and knitted sweaters. The coffee was always on and the cookie tin always full for anyone
who stopped by to visit. She was the happiest surrounded by family. Marge enjoyed a good book, Scrabble, creatively interpreting the rules of any card game and sitting in her garden. She was a passionate cheerleader for any family member’s sport or event and was always the first to lend a hand. She brought nine decades of laughter, compassion and love to the world. Her legacy of graciousness, generosity and joy will be remembered by everyone who met or knew her. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you embody her spirit of kindness, plant colourful flowers and/or donate to a charity of your choosing. A celebration of life will be held on May 20, 2018. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.MyAlternatives.ca.
