DUNN, Janine (Gielen) - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Janine Jacqueline Dunn in Kelowna on June 13, 2010 at the age of 86.

Janine was born in Edmonton, AB, September 10, 1923 to Georgette and Theodore Gielen. Survived by her loving family, son Jim (Patti), grandson Tony (Sharon), granddaughter Joanna Thompson (Craig), her sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by her loving husband Michael in 1990 and her brothers Marc and Bernard.

Janine loved her plants, flowers and travel. Those who knew her will remember her many hours spent in her greenhouse, her garden or on her travels that over the years took her to five continents.

There is no service by request.

In lieu of flowers, Janine would be pleased if donations in her memory were made to the Devonian Botanic Garden, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, T6G 2G1, or to the charity of your choice.
