December 3, 1918 to September 21, 2019

Bella passed away peacefully at Mountain View Village in Kelowna on the evening of September 21st with family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years George and her brother Bill Watson. She is survived by her daughter Linda August, her grandson Shaun August, wife Jean, great-grandson Kieran, grandson Scott August and his partner Heather Burgess. Bella was a devoted homemaker and mother. She grew up in south Vancouver, moved to Brentwood in 1957, and then to White Rock in 1978. She loved taking care of her home, reading, and going to the beach (especially in Maui).

She was excited when she turned 100 and received her letter from the queen. Many thanks to the staff at MV for keeping her comfortable during her last days and caring for her for the last 12 years. It was very moving to see how fond everyone was of her.

There will be no funeral by request. Donations to the BC Cancer Society by anyone wishing to remember Bella would be greatly appreciated.
