CLAUGHTON, Richard George

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Richard George Claughton on May 15, 2017 in Vernon, BC. Richard was born on December 7, 1958 in Burnaby, BC.

Richard was a self employed computer technician and in his spare time enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his loving common-law partner Catherine Laking, brother David Claughton, sister Ramona Manzer, sons Bradan Claughton and Brett Dugas. Richard is predeceased by his mother and father Reta and George Claughton.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Kelowna Springs Golf Course. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

We are so shocked and sad to think that Richard will never enter our office door anymore with his friendly smile, singing and whistling as he came through the door to work on one of our computers or laptops.. Not only was he one of the kindest and friendliest soul that we knew, he was our Computer God! I am sure when our office phone number showed on his caller display, he must have thought.. "good grief!" But he was always there any time we needed him, even if he had to help us by remote when he was on his golf game!! Richard we will miss you so much!! To all of Richard's family, words cannot express our shock and disbelief that Richard is gone. We have worked with Richard for 26 years. He was our IT guy rock in this crazy world.

He was always so healthy. We feel deep sorrow and sadness with his passing.

RIP Richard. You will be missed.
