CHAHLEY, Christina
1966 - 2011

Christina lost her valiant struggle with cancer on December 12, 2011.

Predeceased by her sister Bernadette Janssen. Survived by her beloved husband Ken, children Karsten Chahley, Marly (Brant) Abbott, grand-daughters Emberly and Kendsay Abbot. Also parents Hans Janssen and Agnes Janssen, and greatly missed and loved by family and friends in Kelowna, Alberta, Ontario and Germany.

To Christina, family was her life. Christina was deeply in love with her husband, Ken, and a devoted mother to Karsten and Marly. Her grand-daughters, Emberly and Kendsay were the light of her life. She was a true and loyal friend. She loved her job and cared deeply about the seniors that she worked with at Pine Acres. Christina lived her short life to the fullest. She loved to go on long hikes, sail the lake and the ocean, and travel the world. She always made the effort to make every occasion extra special. A truly special soul, she blessed the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be loved and remain in our memories forever.

The family is grateful to all who assisted in Christina’s care.

• Although we only knew Christina for one week in Jamaica, she was a pleasure to know. We are glad that we were able to spend that time with her. Our deepest sympathy to Ken and family.

• My husband, Blaine and I both worked with Christina at Pine Acres Home. She was such a lovely, caring and compassionate person. The care she provided for our Resident's was absolutely the best. She brought a smile to everyone's face all of the time. She will be greatly missed.
