Obituaries

Robert George Bunyan passed away at age 85 in Kelowna General Hospital on July 4, 2018. Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Virginia, daughters Debbie and Sandy, son Bobby, stepdaughters Shawn and Cheryl, stepson Darryl, and 7 grandchildren.

Bob was born and raised in Vancouver, had his own ceramic tile business in Victoria and Vernon. He built several homes and 3 fishing vessels, one of which he and Virginia operated for 16 years before retiring in 1996. They then moved to the interior of B.C. where where they spent many happy winters traveling by RV to the desert southwest and Mexico.

At Bob's request, there will be no funeral. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

  Saddened to her of your loss. I knew Debbie so many years ago in White Rock as a child, and had lost contact unfortunately. I would love to her from her again.

  Bob was a different type of individual which made him a really interesting man to know. He and Virginia have been our friends for over 40 years and he will be missed. One could always stir up a conversation with Bob with interesting points of view discussed at length. He will be missed. Our thoughts are with you Virg. & Family.
