BUCHNER, Edmond Joseph

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear
Father, Grandfather, brother and friend; Edmond (Ed) Joseph
Buchner. Ed was born August 6, 1926 in Macklin Saskatchewan and
passed away peacefully in Kelowna on January 23, 2015 at the age of
88. Predeceased by loving wife Theresa in 1996, son Gerald in 1967,
granddaughter Tiffany in 2008; his parents, and many brothers and
sisters.

Ed is lovingly remembered by his sister: Dorothy Greer (nee
Buchner) children: Janice (Jim), Sharon (Michael), Deborah (Robert),
Darlene (Vern), Donald (Kelly), grandchildren; Rose, Kyle, Rylee,
Shayne, Brent and Devon, great grandchildren, London, Indhica and
Rowan.

Ed loved to play sports and he freely shared his laughter, his
inviting smile and striking blue eyes. Much of his life was spent
volunteering selflessly for the Knights of Columbus and wherever he
could be of service. He has gone to be with our Lord and is no
longer in pain. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and
friends. Thanks to all the lovely people at the Dorchester for their
friendship and care, and the wonderful caring staff at KGH. Visitation
for the comfort of family and friends will be held within Valleyview
Funeral Home Friday January 30, 2015 from 7~9 PM, 165 Valleyview
Road Rutland. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 31,
2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Theresa
