BODIE, Florence - Passed away suddenly on Tuesday September 9, 2008 at the age of 90.

Survived by her loving family, two daughters: Gail Magrath (Bud) of Kelowna, Helen Wilson (Terry) of Westbank; three sons: Bill (Linda) of Kelowna, John (Shirley) of Portage la Prairie, MB, Jim (Sandy) of Calgary, AB; seven grandchildren: Donna Chalmers (Cameron) of Squamish, BC, Brad Wilson of Surrey, BC, Jonathan Bodie, Portage la Prairie, MB, Troy Bodie of Kelowna, BC, Marina Hildebrand of Regina, SK, Jeffrey and Joshua Bodie of Calgary, AB; three great grandchildren: Maren Chalmers, Kyshia Magrath and Pierce Jones. Sadly predeceased by her husband John and sister Mae.

Florence was a long time prairie girl, who lived 86 years within a 20 mile radius of Portage and then moved to Kelowna four years ago to enjoy the "no overcoat" winters and Rockets hockey. On September 6th she celebrated her 90th birthday at her Chatsworth residence with her family in attendance.

A Memorial Service will be held at the McKenzie United Church in Portage la Prairie on Monday, September 15th at 1:30 p.m.. A Remembrance Service will also be held at Chatsworth at a later date.
