BLUE, Victor Neil

Condolence Messages
  • Jan 06, 2016
With the New Year fresh upon us and with some time past since my father left us, I wanted to send a quick message of reflection as well as a deep heartfelt thank-you to everyone who has posted their thoughts and condolences. I deeply miss my father and think about him often. He was such a large part of my life and I find it difficult that I cannot call him and talk to him on an almost daily basis like we did prior to his passing. I am forever grateful that I have such a large and effective support network, including my loving partner of 25 years and my wonderful family. My brother and I have been through this twice now, with also losing our dear Mother, Donna in 2003, also to cancer. It's difficult, to say the least, to see two of the most important people you have in your life, be taken from you by such a devastating disease. It changes you. It brings upon you a multitude of inner emotions unlike any you have ever felt prior. It centers you and brings clarity to how much you loved these people and how much a part of your life they were and continue to be. We are left with our memories, never to be lost. That is our legacy. That is our gift from them, left for us.

RIP dear father, give Mom a big hug and a kiss from me. I know you are enjoying your walks on the beach and your eternal sunsets. Tony and I will always be there to support Teresa as she is and always will be a part of our family.

    Love you Pops.

    Your son, Steven

I also would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who posted condolences and kind words and some "funny stuff" too about my brother Neil. It was a hard fought battle for him. He was "huger" than life and had such a "Teddy Bear" heart. He was such a vital, strong and loud man who cared so much about everything but didn't often like to show his soft side. He definitely will be missed by so many people who understood and loved him. I hope he is at peace now and dancing with the Angels! Loved u Bro.

    Claudia...hugs

My deepest sympathies to Teresa, Tony, Steve, Tyler & Britany. Claudia & Gordon, Neil was just 30 days older then me, so we were classmates many years. I have fond memories working with Neil's dad in the TV Station in Prince George. As we both moved to Kelowna it was always a pleasure to have small talk with Neil about PG.

Neil always kept us safe as a Fireman & I am sure he will continue to watch over us,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this message. As a longtime coworker and friend of Victor's I got to know his wonderful sense of humour and his special caring side.

Vic was always front and center for all of our charity events throughout his career. He was a talented artist. We at the KFD witnessed this from his characterizations of anything that would happen at the fire hall which he would make cartoons of them.

Vic I know you can hear me, thanks for everything you did for me and my family.

We will always remember you fondly,

    Tim Light
