BLOMGREN, Nancy Winnifred Bell - Was born April 26, 1923 in Horsham, Sussex, England and died March 20, 2011 in Cottonwoods Extended Care, Kelowna, BC at the age of 87 years. Nancy met her husband Tom Bell, a Canadian soldier in England during WW II, marrying him in 1944, travelled to Canada in 1946 with a 6 month old daughter, travelling by boat to Halifax then on to Summerland, BC. She often talked about the trip; what an adventure as a war bride. Tom and Nancy settled in Summerland, working hard, eventually buying an orchard. Tom passed away in 1969. She married for a second time to Wilbur Blomgren. Nancy lived in Summerland for 58 years, moving to Kelowna after ill health forced her to move. She managed to settle in at the Highlands in Glenmore until her health declined again.

She is survived by a daughter Linda (Frank) Keillor, 2 grandchildren, Blair (Sharon) Keillor and Laura (Regen) Kuhhen; 3 great grandchildren, Kyla, Alyssa and Selena. She was a great mum, family was very important to her, she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will miss her! Go Canucks go!

Family will get together in the summer at the beach.
