Her grandchildren were so very important to her and she will be missed by Dawn, Kendra and Adria. She was a very involved Gigi to her special great grandchildren: Parker, Ryder, Teagan and Skylar.
Mom was born in East York, Ontario, March 24, 1923, the youngest of four. When she met Alex, a 67 year romance began. Their marriage was one of great love as they very much enjoyed being together. Dear Lorraine, I just heard of your Mom's passing yesterday. My husband and I would have come had we known. She will be missed by Shawn and I. Your Mom and Dad were our neighbours on Wintergreen Crescent. We found out we went to the same church one Sunday and that was a surprise to all of us. After the sudden passing of your Dad I use to look for the window blind to go up each morning. Your Mom always told me if it doesn't go up you know I've gone to be with the Lord and Alex. She had such a wonderful love for all her family. She had that infectious smile that lit up a room. I'm sad she is gone but happy for her. She is back with the love of her life. Your parents will always be remembered by us for their kind and friendly way. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Mariellen and Shawn Wall

Lorraine and family. Your mom was my special friend. From the day we met our hearts were connected...and the age difference didn't matter. We had so much in common...some wonderful things and some sad and difficult things too. We laughed together and cried together. Your mom inspired me in the challenges of my life. So often we said "for such a time as this"...and chose to make a difference in the lives of others instead of feeling sorry for ourselves. She was the brightest light at Hawthorn, and never stopped encouraging and helping others. We said goodbye many times over the last few months. I told her that when she was gone I would be happy for her and sad for me....and that's how it is. I picture her with Jesus...and with your dad, full of joy and love. I will always miss her. I will always be grateful for our friendship and the journey we shared. You are all in my heart and prayers. I have been in Alberta for over a week now and will not be back in Kelowna until the end of August. I wish I could be with you tomorrow.

    Lots of love.....Sandy Campbell.

Oh, Lorraine. I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I know she had a rough time in the past little while and I'm glad for her peace. We will miss her at our Kelowna Actor's Studio #8 dinner table. Mary was always cheerful and full of life and I always looked forward to seeing her and your dad previously and you more recently. My love and sympathy....Cheryl
