Wishing you all comfort in your memories of Derek. He was a warm and caring friend who was always smiling and I miss him already. Derek was so considerate, always willing to help those in need and cared deeply for his friends and family. As much as we all miss him I remember Derek as a selfless person who wouldn't want anyone to be sad but remember him with a smile. -Catriona Brede

My deepest sympathy to you. I lost my son in 2016. Daniel was 23 years old. He had signed his organ donation card. In losing his life, he gave the gift of life to four human beings. The compassion that we have received from BC transplant has been incredible. Live life. Pass it on.

I don't know this young man...but I just want to give my condolences. No family should have to go through losing a young child, friend, relative. My heart is aching for you.
