Obituaries

BATCHELOR, Billie - On behalf of Terry Batchelor and family, it is with hurting hearts but with a great desire to celebrate, that we announce the passing of his sweetheart for more than 58 years, Ellen May Batchelor, (Billie), on into the arms of her saviour Jesus, Thursday morning, February 7, 2008.

Her love and trust in Jesus was her constant strength right to the end of her life here, but the promise given to her by Him that she is now living and resting in His peace, and that one day will be resurrected in a body that will not fail her again, is her hope.

She was surrounded by her loving husband, all seven of her children; Deb (Joe), Jim (Julia), Errol (Brenda), Heather (Tom), Clint (Sharon), Terryll (Shane), Lon, two of her sisters, Mary and Muriel, and one grandchild, Monisha. She leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. We miss her already but we know we will all see her again very soon.

We would like to thank the staff at the Kelowna General Hospital for their excellent care and would ask that in lieu of flowers that you make a donation to the BC Lung Association.

A short, informal service followed by a dessert social will be held at the Kelowna Christian Center on Monday, February 10th at 2:00 pm.

Mom loved to laugh and it would honour her if you came prepared to celebrate her life with laughter. Thank you to all who prayed for her and our family during this stressful time. We have been, and are, truly blessed.
