BARILLEC, Samuel Roland
BARILLEC, Samuel Roland

It is with great sadness to announce the unexpected passing of Sam on August 1st 2011, at the young age of 43. Sam was born in Quebec, July 2nd 1968. Sam moved to B.C. in 1986 to see Expo and he never looked back - BC became his permanent home where he met his wife in 1989, proudly became a Father with his son in 1992, and again with his lovely daughter in 2006; he led a full life filled with fond memories and love.
Sam was a hard working man who was kind, non-judgmental, and loving and brought much happiness to many people’s lives... He was always there to help someone in need, and excelled at being a skilled Roofer, and general Jack of all Trades. He further went on to live his dream and obtain his Pilots license.
Sam loved his family, loved his dog Pupetee, loved his cats, loved to fly the skies, and loved to play and umpire a fun game of slo-pitch. He will be dearly missed by his Wife Patricia, Son Sammy Jr, Daughter Julie, Mother Magdalena, Father Pierre, Brother Yves, Sister Gilda, Step-Father, Brother & Sister in-laws / Grandparents / Aunts / Uncles / Cousins / Nephews / Nieces and many more family and friends.
We know Sam has embarked on a new journey that will be filled with laughter, love, and a few heavenly games of ball. We will miss you so very much, and thank you for being part of our lives.
Sam's family would like to invite his friends and fellow ball players to come and celebrate his life with a few games of ball in his memory. We will be gathering at Cousins Park in Peachland; Saturday, August 13th 2011 from 10 - 3pm.
