John (Jack) Archibald Bamford
June 9, 1936 - June 15, 2017

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack after a 1 month battle with cancer, in Kelowna at the age of 81.

Jack was predeceased by his wife Ann just a few short months ago, as well as parents Percy and Inez, sister Gladys Dietz, brother Ken Bamford , Father-in-law Cyril Scrivens, Mother-in-Law Anna Scrivens, Brother-in-law Mike Scrivens and the mother of his daughters, Marlene Robillard. Jack is survived by his daughters; Cheryle Bamford, Jean Buckingham (Albert), Jackie Pederson (Len), and Nancy Harris, adopted children; Shawn Bamford (Sandy), Dale Bamford (Andrea), and Zena Johnson, step-children; Cathy Miller (Keith), Bruce Girardin, Tom Girardin (Annette), Brothers; Don (Isabel), Bob (Phyllis) and Dale, Sister Delores, Mother-in-law Ella Hapi, Brother-in-law Tony Scrivens (Lee), Sister-in-law's Cyanna Mufford (Earl) and Debbie Scrivens, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jack worked in the trucking industry for over 52 years. He loved gardening and fishing on his time off. He was loved and will be greatly missed. At his request, no service will be held.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ryan Bystrom, Melody and the Palliative team and lastly the staff at the Central Okanagan Hospice House who took great care of him in the final days.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to The Central Okanagan Hospice House.
