To the family of Althea.. Every now and then you cross paths with a person who draws you in with her smile, with love shooting from her eyes straight to your soul.. what a blessing that we had Althea in our midst here in Kelowna, as she touched so many of us. How lucky are we that we had her in our lives, intimately or casually, you always knew you were in the presence of one great lady. Sending prayer to her family as they come to gently let her go, back to her real home.. Rosalie Chalmers.

Althea was one of the nicest ladies that I have ever met, she was one of those rare people that you knew was listening to you when you had a conversation with her, she made you feel like you mattered. I was not a close friend with her but had a few social contact and had done business with her. The world has lost this great lady, but the angels have gained a member of their group. My condolences to the family your Mom was very special.

Althea and I met through volunteering at KGH 40 years ago and she was a very special and kind friend. Althea, Marie Elliott, Sharon Leveque and myself celebrated many fun birthday celebrations together. At Christmas and birthdays Althea always shared her famous butter tarts - the best! A beautiful lady with a kind heart and soul. Now she is at peace but will always be missed by her family and friends. So many great memories.

My sisters and I remember Mrs. Babcook with fondness. She was always so kind to us growing up. When my parents were building a new home, and we were living in a rental, she invited us all over for supper every Sunday. We also liked to visit her at one of our favourite places as kids....Flintstone's Bedrock City! Rest in peace. You will be missed.
