Join a cycling tour of the historic Kettle Valley Railway in the Okanagan and discover some fabulous wineries along the way. Visit Vancouver Island for a range of tours from easy pedaling to overnight trips with wine and culinary experiences.
FINE ART & FINE WINE
The master’s unite with the combination of fine wine and fine art. Galleries of original artwork are housed in many wineries. From the life-size sculpture of the renown, Frank the Baggage Handler at Red Rooster Winery in Naramata to an island full of artisans scattered throughout Hornby Island. Take the time to visit local galleries, studios, and art events in any of the wine regions of British Columbia.

The three definitive elements of the word festival are — gaiety, revelry, and merrymaking. Just add wine and you’ll mix up some pleasant memories. Wine festivals happen year round throughout the province ranging from a singular day or evening to weeklong events.

The B.C.Wine Museum is located in Kelowna, inside the historic Laurel Packing House that is part of the downtown Cultural District. View artifacts that include traditional winemaking equipment with a collection of original wine bottles and labels that were part of the rich viticulture and winemaking history of the province. The site also contains a BC VQA Wine Shop with an expansive selection of B.C.’s best wines.
TAKE SOME NOTES
Music and wine share a long and engaging history that transcends to the gentle sloping terrain of some of the province’s premier wineries. Cedar Creek Estate Winery revived the partnership with their Telus Sunset Concert Series. Against a stunning background of Okanagan Lake, the concerts have welcomed a number of talented artists over the years. This summer Chantal Kreviazuk is one of their headliners. Mission Hill Family Estate Winery welcomes Chris Botti and Tinhorn Creek rocks their outoor amphitheatre with The Boom Booms, Acres of Lions, and Redeye Empire, to name a few.
TAKE A WINE ESCAPE
Waking up to a view of a vineyard is the quintessential wine experience. There are wonderful B&B’s that either belong to wineries or are located nearby. Plus, there are a number of world-class resorts offering guided wine tours, wine-master dinners, spa experiences, and several wineries also provide onsite guest houses, villas, or elegant inns.
