AVERILL CREEK VINEYARD
Pinot Noir 2008, Vancouver Island,BC
$26
Situated in the Cowichan Valley the nose of this estate grown pinot is brimming with cherries, leather, violets, smoky charcoal, and stewed prunes. The colour is dark ruby red. The wine has great structure and is well balanced. Tannins are soft, but form the backbone of the long finish. Flavours of cedar, spice, tobacco, and chocolate make this a very drinkable wine that will lay down comfortably for a few more years in the cellar. 12% alcohol
