AVERILL CREEK VINEYARD
Pinot Gris 2009, Vancouver Island, BC
$20
Pale golden straw colour with the aromas of honey, tinned pineapple, hints of turpene, seasoned hay, and ripe melon. Barrel fermented and aged on the lees for 12 months in French oak. The palate is delicate with tree fruit aromas, nutty tones and the wine is medium-bodied with a creamy texture on the palate. A mature and complex wine with a clean, creamy finish and a lingering acidity. 12.8% alcohol
