The Summer Street Social happens this Saturday evening from 4-10:30pm downtown in Kerry Park.

Summer Street Social is an enhanced Parks Alive! event. It's totally free and on top of Parks Alive's! regular onstage entertainment; it will feature many family activities.

Those activities include bouncy castle, climbing wall, circus yogo (presented by Okanagan4kids.com), park and play (presented by City of the Kelowna), limbo dancing (by ISCO) and many other interactive activities to get you and your kids moving.

Many of Festivals Kelowna's buskers will also be in the area balancing rocks, juggling, and various other fun displays of creativity.

Band Schedule:

4:30pm Moni Funk and the Groove Machine (Funk/ Dance)

6:00pm Sista B and the Boyz

Headliner:

8:30pm Mazacote (Salsa band from Vancouver)

Prior to Mazacote hitting the stage Latinesque will be teaching the crowd how to Salsa.

I had a chance to connect with Renata Mills from Festivals Kelowna to talk about the event and how it came together:

Here is a promotional video created by Mazacote:

Author’s disclosure: I am currently the Program Coordinator for Festivals Kelowna and have been working on creating this event for the past few weeks.
