New York New Years

The third annual Valley First New York New Years event happens once again at
Jim Stuart Park (across from City Hall), Dec 31st, from 6-9:00pm and it's totally free.
I know some folks ask why it's called “New York New Years” and the name comes for the timing of the event. We launch the free fireworks show at 9pm (same time as New York). This year there will be free hot chocolate, public skating, and live entertainment by "DJ Invizible" (6-7pm), Ben Klick (7-7:45pm) and the Hip replacements (8-9pm).
The Club Penguin Kids Zone full of children’s activities, Club Penguin characters, snow, over 2000 free glow sticks and glow wands, etc.
The fireworks show starts at 9pm and can be clear seen downtown and along the waterfront promenade.
The event site will be live streamed by Castanet starting around 8pm.
Sponsors for this event include: City of Kelowna, Valley First, Club Penguin, Chances, Kiwanis, Okanagan Strata Management, SPL Sound, Castanet, Sun FM, AM 1150, EZ Rock 101.5, MetroCommunity
Bring a non-perishable food item to help “Feed the Valley” and enjoy this free event brought to you by Festivals Kelowna and the City of Kelowna!
