Aloha Keloha

Kelowna's annual Hawaiian infused summer festival returns to our sun soaked city this summer, taking over Waterfront Park between July 11-13th. Themed as a tropical island oasis, Keloha is one of those festivals you go to and catch some of the best bands you've never heard.
Last year they featured Capital Cities who easily became the band of the summer of 2013. So now they're back with a stellar line up and a bunch of names you both know and don't know but that's the beauty here, they have done all the work to find the best talent and bring it to your backyard. Accept the gift.

There is lots of buzz around The Naked and Famous, Local Natives, and Canada's rock band contribution, Monster Truck but lets focus on a name that is in smaller font, the Kongos. I'd never heard of them before but ever since I checked out their video I can't stop listening to it.
These guys are like a blend between Coldplay, Travis, Radiohead, and many more of my favourite acts. So thats my discovery so far I look forward to discovering some more acts this summer at one our biggest summer music festival in Kelowna.
For affordable weekend pass tickets, only $99, or more detailed info go to www.keloha.com

I've also created a playlist featuring 20 of the acts from the event so if your at the office looking for some music to listen to over the next few weeks your one click away from an hours worth of music that you'll hear live at Keloha:
On top of a solid festival line up Keloha also has a very popular after party happening every night in local pubs and clubs. The full weekend pass to the afterparty is only $39 and again get more info on thier site: www.keloha.com
