Charity Poker Tournament this Friday

Before we give you the info about the poker tournament I wanted to let you know that the timeDRIVE event last weekend was a tremendous success. I hear they have raised over 2000 volunteer hours for various non-profits. Nice work Kelowna!

Okay, back to the topic at hand there is a poker tournament with a twist this Friday night. Yes its Texas Hold’em style poker with up to 100 folks but the twist here is that its a new fundraiser for the Kelowna Community Food Bank.

I caught up with Tammy Jackson, who came up with this new fundraiser for the food bank.

“In efforts to hold an event that is different and do a little FUNdraising we have come up with a 100 person Texas Hold'em Poker night. This is a night for all levels of players...it is a FUNdraiser!! The night will be played on professional tables, each having their own dealer. You can reserve your table of 10 or be placed with other players.” Tammy Jackson

You can get your tickets at the door or by calling Tammy and picking them up from the Foodbank. Last time I talked to her there were only 20 or so tickets left. Reach her by calling #250-763-7161 or email [email protected]
