Ok so its time to accept that the Christmas season is fully upon us. WestJet has made their annual viral video, the decorations are up on the tree, and for some they have to debate the reason for the season (is it Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas).

There are tons of events happening around town but we have a few traditions starting to take shape that are worth sharing so lets start with one of my favourites:

BOTTEGA CHRISTMAS MARKET & ART SHOW

As you can see above we have a true gem of a venue in our community that a lot of you are still not aware of. Its called Bottega and can be found in East Kelowna:GOOGLE MAP LINK

Happening this Saturday and Sunday (Dec 14 & 15 / 11am – 4pm) is the third annual Christmas Market & Art Show. The European infused festive market will feature some of the Okanagan’s Finest artists & crafters. Live music, kids activities, specialty treats, food, drink + much more, all set in the heart of beautiful South East Kelowna at Bo.ttega Farm Inn. Come and enjoy the spirit of the season! Minimum donation $2 | children are free

All proceeds go in support of Karis Support Society; a local charity that provides safe housing, support, life skills, and training for people caught in life altering addiction and mental health.

On Sunday Bottega will also be hosting a Christmas concert featuring the West coast jazz quartet B3 Kings. That show kicks off at 8pm and tickets are $25 and can be bought online here or at the Streaming Cafe and Mosiac Books.

KELOWNA FARMERS AND CRAFTERS MARKET: held three Saturdays each month from Dec - March at the Parkinson Recreation Center this market runs from 9am-1pm.

In 2012 Nico Boesten pulled together some of the best locally produced songs he could find. Proceeds go to benefit the Kelowna Food Bank.
