Crews are cleaning up what appears to be a head-on crash on Highway 97 in West Kelowna.
Emergency crews were called to the crash near the Westside Road overpass at about 9:30 p.m. Several police vehicles, fire trucks and ambulances were dispatched.
First responders were not able to speak at the scene, but it appears a black sedan collided with a large motorhome in the southbound lanes. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage. It’s not known how the black car ended up facing the wrong way on the divided highway.
The crash resulted in the closure of two southbound lanes.
