Cat-astrophe avoided

A person crashed their vehicle into Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

Castanet spoke with an employee who was in the clinic at the time and says things could have been very bad.

The collision occurred at at about 12:30 p.m. off Stevens Road.

"There were empty library boxes on the other side of the glass window," said an employee. "Thank goodness it wasn't in front of our reception area because otherwise it would have been catastrophic."

Clients were in the waiting room at the time of the crash.

"I've never seen anything like that before," the employee said. "It shook us up a little bit, but there was nobody injured."

Witnesses from the scene say the driver allegedly pressed the wrong pedal.
