Aquatic suspect sought

RCMP in West Kelowna need your help to identify a young man, as they continue their investigation into an early morning break, enter and theft from the community’s public pool in mid-June.

The incident happened June 13, just after 3 a.m., at the Johnson Bentley Aquatic Centre on Old Okanagan Highway.

Investigators discovered more than two dozen coin boxes stolen from lockers in the change rooms, and it's believed the suspect, or suspects, fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

“Police have conducted a review of the facility's video surveillance,” says RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “Our investigators are interested in identifying and speaking with an individual depicted in the attached photo, who they believe has information valuable to the ongoing investigation.”

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with long, dark hair, seen wearing a black hoodie, brown pants, a black toque and a pair of red shoes with white laces.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880.
