A second vehicle has reportedly slid off Highway 97 in West Kelowna and into Powers Creek ravine.
First responders have freed the occupants of both crashes and have now left the scene.
The second vehicle is said to have landed upside down at the bottom of the steep slope.
ORIGINAL: 11:30 a.m.
An SUV went off Highway 97 in West Kelowna Wednesday morning and down into Powers Creek ravine.
The northbound vehicle went off the road in the dip between downtown Westbank and Glenrosa, about 10:20 a.m., witnesses say.
One person is believed to have been injured in the crash, and rescuers set up a long line to get down to the vehicle.
Conditions were slippery at the time, with blowing snow.
As of 11 a.m., one lane of traffic was closed northbound.
