The man charged in the Aug. 2 shooting in West Kelowna is now facing attempted murder charges, in addition to the several weapons charges he initially faced.
Tyrone Reynolds McGee, 29, is accused of shooting a man in a car outside a car wash on Hudson Road on the evening of Aug. 2.
Const. Jesse O'Donaghey of the Kelowna RCMP said a man on a bike had fired multiple rounds into a vehicle, prompting the driver to run into the shooter.
The driver suffered serious gunshot wounds, while the cyclist also suffered non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was found nearby with the help of a police service dog.
Police believe the shooting was targeted.
McGee remains in custody and will appear in court for a bail hearing on Oct. 3.
