Jury deciding Oswald's fate

Closing arguments have been made and the 12-person jury has begun to deliberate on the fate of Brandon Oswald, the man accused of robbing a West Kelowna Shopper’s Drug Mart at gunpoint.

Oswald’s trial, where he faces charges of robbery, disguising one’s face to commit an offence and the use of an imitation firearm to commit an offence, has been ongoing since the end of May.

Jury deliberations can take several days, but a decision is expected to come either late Tuesday or Wednesday.

Police had suspected Oswald of being responsible for several previous armed robberies.

On March 11, 2014, police followed Oswald to the Shopper’s Drug Mart on Dobbin Road.

Officers arrested Oswald in the parking lot.
