The RCMP and the BC Coroner's Service continue to investigate an early morning single-vehicle rollover that killed one man.
Early Sunday morning at approximately 1:25 a.m., West Kelowna RCMP attended a single-vehicle rollover collision on Highway 97 and the Highway 97C off-ramp in Peachland.
“Police have determined that a single male occupant had been ejected from a red Jeep Cherokee which resulted in significant bodily injuries,” says Cpl. Cory Lepine.
“Despite the efforts of witnesses and emergency services personnel, the driver injuries proved fatal and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
An RCMP Collision Re-constructionist was called out to conduct a full analysis of the scene to determine the contributing factors to this crash.
The driver is not being identified at this time pending the notification of his next of kin.
The West Kelowna RCMP continue to assist the BC Coroner's Service with this investigation.
