Multiple break-ins

Four business owners are shaking their heads in frustration after a string of break-ins in Peachland.

Sometime overnight, Peachland Sushi, Dragon Lotus and Subway were targeted.

In each case, the culprits smashed a window to gain access before making off with cash, product and/or liquor.

Eric Lee of Peachland Sushi is furious. He says those involved took off with $600 in cash and caused at least $400 worth of damage.

RCMP Cpl. Joe Duncan says the thieves attempted to break into the safe at Subway, but were unsuccessful.

Police are investigating the files, which they believe are all linked.

The businesses were broken into about the same time and within the same general area.

There is currently no released security footage, but it is reported police are in the process of obtaining surveillance video from one company.
