Collision backs up traffic

Two lanes of traffic have now been restored in the westbound direction and one lane is open in the eastbound direction towards Kelowna, after a minor three-vehicle accident plugged up traffic on Highway 97.

ORIGINAL: 5:39 P.M.

Traffic is heavily backed up over over the William R. Bennett Bridge this afternoon after a three-vehicle accident on highway 97 has slowed traffic.

The accident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. Friday afternoon just west of Boucherie Road and Highway 97. 

Traffic is backed up in the westbound lanes all the way into downtown Kelowna. 

There have been no reports on the condition of those involved as of yet.
